Aleda Price Madison is the Executive Director for Madison Adoption Associates. Aleda started the business over 25 years ago, seeking a way to bring needy children and loving families together. Her passion comes from her role as an adoptive, foster, and biological parent.
Like many young couples, Aleda had many problems with conceiving and carrying a pregnancy to full term. Miraculously, she gave birth to her daughter, Diana, only to find herself again experiencing a multitude of problems with several following pregnancies. Aleda then began shifting her efforts towards adoption. She found happiness as a foster parent, but experienced several difficulties when it came to adopting domestically. At that point she and her husband, Chuck, began looking into international programs. In 1980, she adopted Michael from Bogotá, Colombia. The family then happily added Christopher in 1983, from the same orphanage.
While staying at home to care for her young children, she began networking with other adoptive parents, lawyers, and contacts to help find ways to make it easier for families like hers, seeking to adopt. In 1981, she helped facilitate her first adoption. Today, Madison Adoption Associates has assisted a multitude of families, adopting from countries all over the world.
Aleda has a Bachelor's Degree from West Chester University, and has completed 32 post-graduate credits. She has provided counseling to attorneys and judges about the international adoption process, and has appeared on both daytime and primetime television as an adoption expert. She also recently became a board member for Focus on Adoption, an adoption advocacy organization. Although Madison Adoption Associates works with many different countries, her greatest enjoyment and love arises from the Guatemalan program, which she has single handedly managed since the agency's conception, bringing together over 500 families.
Diana Bramble began working with Madison Adoption Associates in 2002. Having two adopted brothers, and witnessing the miracles performed by her mother, Aleda, adoption work became a natural fit. It has also developed into her passion.
Diana serves as the Associate Director of the agency, and performs a broad range
of duties spanning from casework to compliance and legal issues. Diana’s
greatest love still remains the China program and China special needs program.
After personally traveling to China in November 2004, and witnessing the
overwhelming need of loving homes for children with special needs, Diana
completed the necessary steps for Madison Adoption Associates to be accredited
as a Waiting Child placement agency. The program has been an incredible success
thus far and a personal victory for Diana, who fell in love with two special
needs boys while in China.
Diana graduated from University of Delaware with a BS in Psychology, and minors in History and Spanish. She graduated with her MBA from Wilmington College and
graduated with her Masters of Social Work degree from Delaware State University. She is happily married with one son, Charlie. The Brambles are excited to adopt a daughter from China at some point in the near future.
Sara
Lang
joined Madison Adoption Associates in July
2007 as an adoption associate and
waiting child specialist. Sara will be managing the placement of children with
special needs who are referred to Madison Adoption from China, as well as
assisting the agency with other adoption programs.
Sara brings with
her the experience of placing special needs and waiting children from Asia,
Eastern Europe, Central America, the Caribbean and Africa.
Sara holds a
degree in Special Education from Winthrop
University. Before moving to Delaware, Sara spent 15 years as a paralegal in Atlanta,
GA and Beaufort, SC. She also worked in the death-care industry for several
years (and she loved it!). She is a volunteer with Beagle Rescue Education &
Welfare and Rescue-A-Pet, and she has served on the Board of Directors of
Rebuilding Wilmington, Inc. She also volunteers her time with The Shepherd’s
Crook, an adoption ministry.
Sara and her
husband, John, built their family through international adoption. In September
2000 they brought home their two daughters from Arkhangelsk, Russia. Shortly
afterwards, Sara decided to turn her passion for her children into a career to
help other families come together through adoption.
Anna Maslanka is the Manager of the Illinois branch of Madison Adoption Associates. Anna joined Madison in 2001, after leaving the employ of the company where she worked for 20 years. An adoptive parent to two beautiful Chinese girls, she joined the agency because of her passion for China, the Chinese children and the entire China adoption effort. This passion has since expanded into other programs and adoption in general. After becoming divorced from her husband, she did not want to abandon her desire for children. She learned of the China adoption program from a local agency in 1993 and decided to adopt a child from China without hesitation. She brought her first daughter into her home in March 1994. Less than 3 years later, she decided that it was important to expand her family, give her daughter a little sister and give another Chinese child a permanent home. She brought her second baby girl home in November 1998. Fu Xi (Hannah) and Kangqin (Heidi) are now 10 and 6 years old.
Anna's enthusiasm for international adoption has bought many clients on board with MAA. Her primary responsibility is assisting adoptive parents from Illinois and neighboring states including Wisconsin and Indiana when they call for information about the agency's programs. Once the parents formally choose Madison, Anna works closely with them throughout the adoption process, answering questions about the adoption program, and assists them with the completion of their dossier through authentication.
Anna is a full-time employee, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Roosevelt University. Anna has already assisted dozens of families through the International adoption process. She is a highly motivated, extremely dedicated individual who is adored by her clients!
